Carolina Miranda (she/her) is the Founder and CEO of Cultivating Capital, a Certified B Corp since 2012 that works with small businesses to implement sustainable business practices. As a Green Business, Sustainability, and B Corp Consultant, she has worked with hundreds of organizations to implement social and environmental initiatives, get certified, and establish 5-year sustainability action plans. She specializes in helping small businesses align their business with their values by implementing best practices for social and environmental responsibility and is actively involved with the B Corp Women CEOs group.
Jamie Oulton (she/her) discovered her love for B Corps during an undergraduate seminar on social entrepreneurship in 2014. Her passion for renewable energy and sustainability led her to Certified B Corp, Namaste Solar. Jamie’s time spent as a co-owner of Namaste Solar allowed her to form connections within the B Corp Community and get involved in all aspects of using business as a force for good at a mid-sized company. Prior to joining Cultivating Capital, Jamie focused her energy on employee engagement and communication programs to better align organizational members around mission and values.
Jeffrey D. Stewart
Jeffrey D. Stewart (he/him/his) first discovered the B Corp movement in 2019 following a two-year stint in the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship program in Brazil. His enthusiasm to build upon his acquired language skills led him to B Lab Global where, as a Business Sustainability Analyst, he was dedicated to ensuring the growth of the movement through retention, mainly with companies seeking recertification in South America. It was there that Jeffrey developed a deep appreciation for how for-profit entities are reshaping the way business can be imagined and executed with increased consideration of people and the planet.
Rebecca Magee (she/her) has spent her career at the intersection of business and impact, working across the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Prior to becoming a consultant, she led mission-related strategic initiatives at EILEEN FISHER and spearheaded the company’s B Corp certification, which resulted in its recognition as the largest certified women’s fashion company in 2015. She believes B Corp certification is one of the best tools to help companies build resilience and integrate their values across their programs and operations.
Cindy Curtis (she/her) is passionate about using business design thinking to improve processes and build capacity within the B Corp community. She believes business is a powerful tool that can be used to raise neighborhoods and communities to new levels of production and fulfillment and has successfully designed and implemented people-first systems that allow for flexibility and growth in support of the triple bottom line. As the Operations Manager for Cultivating Capital, she loves holding the balance between big-picture strategy and implementation and finding ways to improve processes in order to support more businesses in their pursuit of B Corp certification.
Bobbie Vyas (she/her) discovered her passion for helping women entrepreneurs grow their businesses when she started her virtual consulting business to be of service to those very same entrepreneurs in an administration and growth mindset coaching capacity. Prior to joining the Cultivating Capital team, Bobbie had a thriving career in luxury hospitality and before that, the nonprofit realm. In beautiful contrast, her scholarly background is in psychology and counseling.
