Meet the Founder
Carolina Miranda
Carolina Miranda (she/her) is the Founder and CEO of Cultivating Capital, a Certified B Corp since 2012. As a B Corp ROI Strategist, she brings more than 15 years experience in the B Corp movement to help companies measure, manage, and improve their ROI. She has helped businesses achieve B Corp certification, increase their impact and score with recertification, and is recognized for her expertise with the B Corp performance standards.
In addition to her experience working with companies throughout the certification process, she has been trained directly by B Lab twice. In 2021, she was one of only three U.S. participants in a pilot program run by B Lab to train external verifiers to perform certification verifications independently, and in 2023, she was in the inaugural cohort of trained B Consultants.
She has served on the Leadership Circle for B Corp Women CEOs WeTheChange and the B Corp Consultants Network and actively supports other Collective Action Networks in the B Corp community. She was awarded the 2020 Community Builders Award and the 2024 Hal Taussig Award—the B Corp community’s highest honor—for her contributions to the community.
Carolina holds an MBA in Sustainable Enterprise that combines fundamental business skills with a deep understanding of sustainable business practices. Prior to starting her own business, she had hands-on experience in developing a sustainability program and working on sustainability certifications as a Sustainability and Marketing Manager for a small business, which she certified as her first B Corp in 2009.
