Kelsey Moody (they/them) is a passionate creator of community and a proponent of using business as a force for good. Their background is focused on working in business development, strategy, and sales for small businesses in a variety of industries including manufacturing, tourism, and coffee. The moment they learned about B Corp certification, they instantly connected to the movement. Kelsey found their first role at a B Corp in 2016 where they also served as the company’s leader of their sustainability and values teams to engage colleagues around various initiatives and company values.
As the Events Chair on the B Local PDX (Portland) Board, Kelsey plans year-round events focused on learning and engagement with the B Corp community in the Portland area. They have participated in and led a wide range of projects such as the US: A Collection of Immigration Stories, Building the B Ecosystem, an interactive art installation for BLD PNW 2019 called the Mapping the B Ecosystem, and the first annual B Corp Day of Service in Portland. Through these efforts, they have developed many meaningful connections and a deep sense of community.
Kelsey holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies with a minor in Planning, Public Policy, and Management from the University of Oregon.
